Meet the Team

The caring dental team at Family Tree Dentistry in Wenatchee, WA.
Lisa Barker, Registered Dental Hygienist

Lisa Barker, RDH

Lisa is a native of Wenatchee, and loves that she gets to be hands-on with people about whom she cares. She enjoys finding new ways to motivate and educate patients on an individual basis. Her job is so much more than scraping tartar off teeth. As a hygienist, she helps keep your whole mouth in a healthy state so you never have to lose one tooth because of a bacterial infection. And infections in the mouth can lead to infections in other parts of the body.

Lisa recalled how during typical blood pressure monitoring, and in collaboration with the patient's primary care physician, she helped discover that the patient had a pre-existing heart condition that required immediate surgery.  It was a tremendously rewarding feeling when the seven year old daughter of the patient thanked her for being part of keeping her daddy healthy.

When Lisa is not caring for patients, she likes playing with her dog Barkley, going for walks along Riverfront Park, watching movies, and spending time with her friends and family.

Ronda Duncan, Registered Dental Hygienist

Ronda Duncan, RDH

Started: 1988

Walla Walla University
Clark College

Ronda started out in Wichita, Kansas where she was born, grew up in Auburn, WA and then made her way to Wenatchee where she’s happily lived for 37 years.

Ronda loves her job because she knows that she’s helping people in a very specific way with their health and appearance.  But it's harder than it looks!

Her older sister wanted to be a dental hygienist and was a huge influence in Ronda becoming one. And she’s so glad she did because it’s such a rewarding career. After 27 years in the Family Tree office, she’s made some very good friends and hopes to continue making more.

When she’s not making friends at the office, she loves spending time with family, gardening, camping, home decorating, walking, and reading.

Laurie Telford-Larson, RDH

Started: 2007

A native of Wenatchee, Laurie’s first exposure to the dental field came as part of a work experience program while attending Wenatchee High School. In 1981, she graduated from Yakima Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene, which started a career in hygiene that has spanned over 36 years.

The relationships she has built over the years are so valuable to her. She loves being a caregiver not only for peoples’ oral health, but beyond, which reflects the offices values of treating the patient as a whole person, not just a mouth. Maintaining good oral health is so important, and she is proud to be a part of that process.

When Laurie is not caring for her patients, she is busy tending to the family farm, which includes horses, chickens, pigs, and two pygmy goats that wander the farm freely. In her free time, she loves to read, garden, cook, and spend time with her husband, Shawn, their three grown daughters and their husbands, and her many beautiful grandchildren. Whether it’s sharing a family meal at the dinner table or going to church together, Laurie feels blessed to be part of such a warm and caring family, both personally and professionally.

Kali Peterson, RDA

Started: 2008

Born and raised in the Wenatchee Valley, Kali earned her certificate in dental assisting from The Dental Assistant Training Center in Seattle, WA, in 2002.

In 2008, after five years of working in pediatric dentistry, she moved on from that position and joined Dr. Daryl Miller until he retired and passed the practice on to Dr. Barker.

Kali loves helping people and learning, and the fact that her job is constantly evolving means she is always learning new things. The comradery and common goals of her fellow team members means a lot to her, and she is thankful to work side by side with other compassionate and highly trained professionals, while helping patients create and maintain the smile of their dreams.

When she isn’t assisting, Kali loves spending time with her husband, Eric, going to her daughter Kaelyn’s dance recitals, and watching her son, Kohen, ride dirt bikes. As a family, they enjoy the outdoors and often go camping, fishing, hiking and hunting. A self-professed coffee snob, Kali owns a coffee shop in the Town Toyota Center where she serves different coffees from around the world over weekends and for special events.

Jamie Bland, Financial Coordinator

Started : 2015

Jamie has been in the dental field for 18 years. She worked as a dental assistant for the first 8 years of her career and made the transition to front office. She found that her passion was working with patients and coordinating their treatment and financials to be able to move forward.

Jamie enjoys the opportunity to develop lasting friendships with the patients and feels truly lucky to be doing what she loves. Being stumped by patients questions and concerns motivates her to find the correct answers to give them the best patient experience.

She moved to Wenatchee 8 years ago to be closer to family. She enjoys hiking, karaoke, and spending time with friends and family. Her dog brings so much joy into her life and she takes her for hikes as much as possible.
